Morishita Akane is a second-year student at Aona High School, enjoying her high school life with her best friends Soma Jinko, Daifuku, and Yamada Sunao. In order to win a bet with Jinko, Akane jokingly confesses her feelings to Tsuchiya Tokihiko, whom she meets for the first time. However, Tsuchiya has liked Akane for a long time, and this leads to them interacting together. Akane initially rejected Tsuchiya due to her relationship with Kasai Ryoko, who also likes Tsuchiya, but as they continue to interact as friends, she gradually becomes attracted to his personality, and they begin dating halfway through their third year of high school. The story depicts the daily lives of high school students, who worry about love, friends, club activities, and their future paths after graduation.
