In 1985, Ash, a street kid boss, received a drug sample from a dying man who had been shot in the chest on New York’s Lower East Side. The last words he heard before the man’s death were, “Meet Banana Fish…” Ash was taking care of his older brother Griffin, who had lost his mind due to drugs while serving in the Vietnam War. He became interested in the words he heard his brother occasionally mutter, which were the same as “Banana Fish.” Dino Golzine, a boss of the underworld, was pursuing the murdered man. Dino suspects Ash of being the last person to have had contact with the man. The incident takes an unexpected turn when Eiji, a cameraman’s assistant who Ash met during a magazine interview, also gets involved…
